Why Join BYO?
BYO is ideal for talented musicians eager to:
- join an outstanding full symphonic youth orchestra
- be part of a chamber ensemble group with its own professional coach
- optionally participate in our annual Concerto
Competition for selection as a featured soloist with the full orchestra
- rehearse and perform in a state-of-the art theater with practice rooms
- receive high school or college credit for your participation

Students typically are in grades 5-10 and engage in private instrument lessons. BYO supplements school music programs, and therefore members are expected to participate in their school music programs when offered. BYO is not meant to replace what schools provide. Financial aid is available to qualifying applicants.
