Leon Chou

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Leon began studying piano at six years old and violin at nine. Between 2011-2018, he was a member of Berkeley Youth Orchestra and later Young People's Symphony Orchestra. He completed his undergraduate education in Mathematics at UC Berkeley, where he also studied organ and carillon, and performed jazz acapella on the side. Leon's excited to return to BYO after a decade and contribute to the youth orchestra experience that was instrumental to his own growth and development. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, taking long walks, board games, and soup.
