For auditions, musicians are expected to:

• First, play a chromatic scale (2 octaves) and additional major or minor scale of your choice (2 or 3 octaves)

• Then play a prepared piece (1 - 3 minutes) that demonstrates your skills both technically and expressively with emphasis on tone and intonation.

Below you'll find music from past performances that we feel is representative of the level of musicianship our members strive for. The repertoire below is simply for reference, so that musicians can get a sense for the level of BYO's repertoire. It is not required as part of the audition process.
